Terms and Conditionns

By booking a tattoo appointment with Spicy Ink, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions.

All deposits are non-refundable

Paying a deposit secures your appointment. These booking fees not only secure your time slot but also cover administration costs, overheads, and creative design time. By paying the deposit, you agree that you have read and understood all our terms and conditions. This includes all terms and conditions about the nature of the deposit being non-refundable.

If you book a design, pay the booking fee, and change your mind after securing a date for your original design, you risk that your new design may not be accepted. In this case, your booking fee will be forfeited to cover the costs mentioned above. Deposits are held for a maximum of 6 months if you need to reschedule. 

Rescheduling – you may reschedule your appointment once

You may reschedule your booking date up to five days before your booked time slot, and your deposit will be transferred to the new date free of charge. Rescheduling less than five days before your appointment will result in the forfeit of your deposit, but we may still be able to reschedule you, which will require a new booking fee to secure your new date. Deposits are valid for six months after the original payment date.

Please let us know if you’re under the weather so we can postpone your appointment; this is for both you and your artist’s health and safety.

Designs aren’t shared before your scheduled appointment

On the day of your booking I'll present a few options and, if needed, make any changes together until we are both happy with the design. This is why we gather all the information for the tattoo beforehand, so I can produce the best possible design on the day.

If you have any major changes/adjustments to the concept you booked for please inform me in advance. I will try to be as accommodating as possible; however, if you wait until the day of your appointment to let me know rather than in advance, we may need to rebook you, and/or additional fees may apply.

Spicy Ink reserves the right to refuse service

It is of the utmost importance that we maintain our integrity by providing a high standard of art, a clean environment, and safe practice. We reserve the right to decline any clients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or underage. We reserve the right to refer you to another artist if your concept does not fit Spicy Inks' style, scope, or capabilities.

We require you to sign a declaration

You must sign a consent form confirming that you are safe to be tattooed (free from illnesses such as HIV, Hepatitis C, etc., that are easily transmitted through bodily fluids), that you are not being tattooed under duress, and that you understand the permanence of a tattoo. If you sign this agreement and have been found to falsify information, we reserve the right to take legal action.

We reserve the right to decline touch-ups

This will be free of charge (at Spicy Inks discretion) for six months after your original tattoo appointment. Touch-ups are only available after a minimum of four weeks of healing. There may be a fee if the tattoo is older than a year.

We also reserve the right to decline touch-ups of other artists' work. If you are unhappy with the quality, healing, or aging of a tattoo done by another artist, we strongly suggest approaching the studio where you had it done. 

We do not always advise the use of numbing creams

For a variety of reasons, numbing cream is not always appropriate or safe for a tattoo, so please discuss this with Spicy Ink prior to your appointment if you would like to consider using it. Without proper supervision and application, numbing creams can interact with the ink and the integrity of the skin to tattoo and can impact the quality of healing. By agreeing to the terms set out, you acknowledge that you will disclose your intention to use numbing cream when you send through an initial inquiry.​ We will do our best to set the tattoo up for the best healing possible; however, if numbing agents are used, we, unfortunately, will not offer a free touch-up with your tattoo. We will not accept any responsibility should you withhold this information and any reactions or interactions happen or if you are unhappy with the quality of your healed tattoo. 

Initial quotes are subject to change – these price ranges are indicative only

Quotes may change once Spicy Ink has assessed the design and placement. Any changes made on the day may incur a variation in these price estimates

 

(i.e. if you give a desired size, but you make it significantly bigger on the day, please expect to pay more than what you were estimated, as it will take longer to tattoo a bigger design due to more area to cover.)

 

Your price estimate will be given when you book in and will be confirmed by Spicy Ink on the day of your appointment.

Custom designs

Custom designs will be quoted as a whole piece. For larger-scale pieces, you will be advised if you will need multiple sessions, and this will be included in your quote.

 

For any sittings that extend beyond their allocated time that are not due to my speed or technique (for example, a client who may need to take longer breaks, which extends the allocated tattoo session), an additional fee may be required to complete the tattoo on a second session to cover set up and additional time.

Consults

We do not hold phone consults, and in-person consults are by invitation only. If you would like a consultation, please contact Spicy Ink through the booking form or DM on Instagram, and I will try to accommodate.
